Job summary

The University of Miami Health System (UHealth) IT Department seeks an IT Security Specialist II to join the Miami team in a full-time, onsite capacity. You will lead end-user and technical security training, assist with PCI-DSS tasks, auditing, risk management, and security assessments under the CISO office, and guide remediation efforts across complex systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• 5-7+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience with 3+ years in threat and vulnerability management, threat intelligence, incident response, or related areas.
• Experience with vulnerability management tools such as Qualys, Tenable, or Rapid7.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to technical and non-technical teams on security findings and best practices.
• Collect, analyze threat intelligence reports and elevate risk levels as needed.
• Draft comprehensive reports with assessment findings and recommended security enhancements.
• Perform vulnerability scans, assess risk, and own remediation end-to-end.
• Monitor emerging threats and support the vulnerability management program.
