Job summary

Arizona Public Service seeks a Cybersecurity Intern to collaborate with cybersecurity, IT, and audit professionals, supporting security reviews, audits, and regulatory compliance to help keep APS systems secure, reliable, and compliant.

The 10-week, paid internship offers mentorship, professional development, site visits, networking, and exposure to governance, risk management, and assurance activities across APS infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program in cybersecurity or related field.
• Interest in governance, compliance, audit, assurance, risk management or application security oversight.
• Able to understand technical concepts and work with cross-functional teams.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in security reviews and audits with cybersecurity and IT teams.
• Evaluate applications and processes for alignment with security standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to improve cybersecurity assurance.
• Analyze data and summarise findings in reports or presentations.
• Support regulators, auditors, and stakeholders with visibility and accountability.
