Job summary

Harbinger Motors in Garden Grove, CA is seeking an ambitious Cybersecurity Intern to support the protection of our enterprise IT systems, product development environments, and operational technology. This role provides hands-on exposure to real-world security operations in a fast-growing automotive startup during a critical early product stage.

The internship requires a 4–5 day in-office commitment at our Garden Grove facility and lasts 8 weeks for a quarter or 15 weeks for a semester.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Information Technology.
• Work authorized in the United States or ability to obtain J-1/F-1 visa.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to clearly document technical processes and findings.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to email security threats, including phishing, malware, and spam.
• Monitor, analyze, and triage endpoint security detections using EDR and related tools.
• Assist with incident investigation and escalation following established security procedures.
• Document, maintain, and help develop SOPs for critical security processes.
• Support continuous improvement of security monitoring, detection, and response workflows.
• Collaborate with IT and Security teams to strengthen overall security posture.
