Job summary

Sensiba LLP invites applications for Cybersecurity Intern, Penetration Testing Services - Summer 2027. The internship provides hands-on exposure to vulnerability assessments, security testing, and client deliverables within the GRC practice, including an on-site week at the San Jose headquarters.

Eight-week program offers immersive training, professional development, and networking with firm leaders while building technical and consulting skills for a career in offensive security and risk

Qualifications

• Enrollment at an accredited university pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Cybersecurity, CS, CE, or related field.
• Expected to complete degree between Spring 2027 and Spring 2028.
• Minimum major GPA of 3.0 preferred.
• Basic understanding of networking, operating systems, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity tools used for vulnerability management or security testing.
• Pursuit of cybersecurity certifications such as Security+, Network+, eJPT, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Assist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing engagements.
• Support information gathering and reconnaissance during security assessments.
• Help identify, document, and validate security vulnerabilities.
• Review scan results and analyze potential security risks.
• Research emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques.
• Evaluate network, application, and cloud security controls.
• Review internal and external network configurations.
• Participate in testing web apps, cloud environments, and other platforms.
• Identify potential attack paths and security improvements.
• Document security findings and remediation recommendations.
