Job summary

Howmet Aerospace invites rising juniors and seniors to join our Cybersecurity Internship in Summer 2027 at Pittsburgh, PA. You will work within the Corporate Information Security team on governance, risk, and data protection while gaining exposure to security operations.

The program emphasizes hands-on learning with policy development, risk documentation, and threat monitoring, offering a hybrid schedule with a housing stipend for students nationwide.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, or Cybersecurity with expected graduation Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Minimum GPA 3.0 or equivalent.
• Internship/work/research experience or extracurricular participation.
• Involvement in at least 1 extracurricular activity.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks.
• Develop cybersecurity policies and standards.
• Assist with risk assessments and risk documentation, developing reports and dashboards.
• Review security controls and control evidence.
• Support compliance activities and audit readiness.
• Align with frameworks such as NIST, CMMC, ISO 27001.
