Job summary

MetLife’s Global Security team is seeking a Cybersecurity Intern to work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to real projects. You’ll gain exposure to cloud security, identity management, vulnerability management, and AI security while learning in a collaborative environment.

The program runs for ten weeks, starting June 1, 2027, with a hybrid in-person schedule in Cary, NC. Expected hours are about 40 per week, and applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with expected graduation by June 2029.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Coursework or hands-on experience in cybersecurity concepts (risk, vulnerabilities, controls).
• Experience with at least one scripting language.
• Basic understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Willingness to learn about AI capabilities and use AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist on meaningful security projects under mentorship.
• Contribute to areas such as Cloud Security, IAM, Vulnerability Management, and AI security.
• Help design and validate security controls and automation playbooks.
• Support governance, risk, and compliance activities as needed.
