Job summary

Swoon is actively hiring a Cybersecurity/Infrastructure Engineer to join the team in Rosemont, IL. This role focuses on protecting enterprise environments and supporting IT operations.

You will monitor security alerts, administer AD and Windows servers, manage patching, and implement security controls across identity, endpoint, server, network, cloud, and email. You will also collaborate with IT and security teams to resolve issues and improve security posture.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience protecting enterprise environments.
• Experience administering Active Directory, Windows Server, endpoints, and user access.
• Ability to assess alerts, investigate malware or suspicious activity, and drive incidents to containment and resolution.
• Experience prioritizing vulnerabilities, deploying updates, hardening systems, and verifying fixes.
• Ability to resolve escalated workstation, server, and network issues and deliver lasting solutions.
• Experience turning security needs into actionable procedures and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and investigate malware or suspicious activity, coordinating containment, remediation, and follow-up with security and infrastructure teams.
• Administer and secure Active Directory, Windows servers, endpoints, and user access, including onboarding, offboarding, and access changes.
• Manage vulnerability remediation and OS and application patching, including prioritization, testing, deployment, and verification.
• Implement, maintain, and improve security controls across identity, endpoint, server, network, cloud, and email environments.
• Provide Level 2/3 technical support, troubleshooting infrastructure issues involving servers, workstations, networking, storage, and backups.
• Maintain system documentation, secure configuration standards, asset inventories, and technical evidence to support audits, customer assessments, and compliance requirements.
• Partner with IT, security, and business teams to resolve recurring issues, automate routine tasks, and communicate infrastructure health, security risks, and remediation progress.
