American Airlines seeks a Sr Manager, IT Cybersecurity Governance, Risk & Compliance to lead governance, risk, and compliance initiatives across cybersecurity. You will shape strategy, oversee risk-based programs, and ensure regulatory readiness with strong executive reporting.

Based in the DFW area, this role guides cross-functional teams, manages budgets, and partners with Legal, Finance, and Tech to strengthen the airline's risk posture and ensure resilient operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in cybersecurity, risk management, compliance, governance, or related fields.
• 5+ years of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead Cybersecurity Governance Capabilities: set direction for governance, policies, standards, and risk management.
• Oversee Cyber Products and Capabilities: shape roadmaps, investments, and delivery for risk reduction and regulatory readiness.
• Drive Cyber Strategy, Planning, and Execution: translate strategy into priorities, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
• Oversee the Chief of Staff Function: support executive cadence, communications, and cross-functional coordination.
• Lead Cyber Work Management and Financial Planning: budgeting, forecasting, and portfolio reporting.
• Strengthen Risk, Compliance, and Executive Reporting: align activities and provide clear reporting to leadership.
• Build and Develop High-Performing Teams: coaching and development across cybersecurity initiatives.
