Job summary

Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency (GEMA/HS) invites applications for a Cybersecurity Grants Specialist. The role supports grants management for state and local governments and involves administering funds and ensuring compliance with grant stipulations.

Selected candidate will work with multiple entities, prepare reports, and provide technical assistance to subrecipients. Travel statewide/regionally and possible on-call during disasters are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business/public administration, finance, or related field, or four years of grants management experience.
• Ability to organize, prioritize tasks and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Experienced cybersecurity professional with technical expertise and independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor ongoing grant programs and related funds.
• Administers and/or awards funds on behalf of agency or other grantors.
• Audits expenditures to ensure that funds are spent according to stipulation and deadlines.
• Compiles and prepares reports.
• Maintains grant and contract files, databases, ledgers, and records.
• Provides information concerning the program and explains the application process.
• Provides technical assistance to subrecipients.
• Interact with subrecipients to monitor their work toward grant completion and closeout.
