Job summary

Obrela is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain perimeter and internal security controls in complex enterprise environments. You will deploy next-generation firewalls across on‑prem, virtual, and cloud environments and own the full firewall configuration lifecycle.

The role requires strong networking knowledge, NGFW experience, and the ability to communicate effectively in English and Greek.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in an engineering role focused on firewalls.
• Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, subnetting, routing and switching, NAT, VLANs, DNS, VPNs.
• Solid firewalling fundamentals: policy design, traffic inspection, NGFW features.
• Core cybersecurity knowledge and customer-support experience.
• Excellent problem solving, written and spoken communication in English and Greek.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain next-generation firewalls across on-prem, virtual, and cloud environments.
• Design, implement, and maintain the full firewall lifecycle: policies, VPNs, upgrades, migrations, reviews.
• Collaborate with network, infrastructure, cloud, and app teams to integrate security controls.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and integration guides.
• Provide technical guidance and support to customers on network security best practices.
