Lone Star College-Westway Park Technology Center in Houston, TX invites applications for a full-time Cybersecurity and Enterprise Networking instructor. Responsibilities include developing syllabi, using engaging teaching methods, evaluating student progress, advising, and coordinating with certification bodies.

Qualifications

• Must have current industry certifications in network security and/or cybersecurity, or networking.
• Three years of industry experience in Cybersecurity or network security technologies.
• Minimum of an Associate's degree in Computer Networking or related field.

Responsibilities

• Teaches courses in Cybersecurity and enterprise network technologies at various times and locations.
• Creates engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material.
• Develops and uses a syllabus for each course or laboratory within college guidelines.
• Evaluates students and informs them of progress in a timely manner.
• Responsible for recruiting and advising students in their area.
• Manages classrooms and labs to meet state requirements.
• Assists with student job placement and works with certification agencies for alignment.
