Lone Star College-Westway Park Technology Center offers high-quality, low-cost academic transfer and career training education to thousands of students. Adjunct faculty teach Cybersecurity courses and participate in a diverse, community-focused learning environment.

Positions are part-time, with classes offered day, evening, and weekend at various locations. Qualification includes an associate or bachelor's degree and relevant industry experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, or related field, plus 3 years nonteaching work experience.
• Certification(s) in the field may be applicable.

Responsibilities

• Teaches Cybersecurity courses at various times and locations.
• Create engaging lessons promoting student involvement and application of material.
• Submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner.
• Follow course syllabus and institutional guidelines.
• Meet with and advise students before/after class or by appointment or via electronic communication.
• Evaluate student progress and inform students promptly.
• Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and community.
• Attend required meetings, trainings, and orientations.
• Handle other related duties as assigned.
