Sigma Defense Systems in Rome, NY seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team focused on implementing and automating security controls across DoD systems and Azure cloud environments.

Candidates will perform vulnerability assessments, contribute to RMF activities, and advance Zero Trust security across platforms. A U.S. citizenship is required and an active TS/SCI clearance is preferred for sponsorship.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience to support the implementation, assessment, and automation of cybersecurity controls across information systems and Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
• This role will implement RMF requirements, perform vulnerability assessments, and automate security and compliance processes.
• Foundation in cybersecurity engineering and DoD security requirements; exposure to ACAS, Zero Trust, Azure security, and Defender for Cloud.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain security controls throughout the system lifecycle.
• Support RMF requirements and DoD security processes.
• Assist with Zero Trust deployment across systems, apps, cloud, and related tech.
• Perform vulnerability scans and assess ACAS results; drive remediation.
• Assist with Azure Policy initiatives and compliance.
• Support IaC and infrastructure automation.
• Document configurations, procedures, and engineering solutions.
