Job summary

Sigma Defense Systems LLC is seeking an Azure Network Engineer to own complex Azure connectivity, security, and routing across multiple networks and environments. The role focuses on designing secure Azure networking architectures while preventing unnecessary network exposure.

Candidates should have DoD/regulatory experience, a TS/SCI clearance or eligibility, and hands-on expertise with Azure Firewall, VPNs, VNets, and private connectivity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Azure networking
• Designing and supporting Microsoft Azure networking environments
• Experience with Azure Firewall and Palo Alto Firewall
• Experience with VNets, NSGs, UDRs, and Private Endpoints
• Experience with ExpressRoute, VPNs, Private Link, and Hybrid connectivity

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and maintain Azure network infrastructure
• Serve as SME for Azure networking, routing, connectivity, and firewall technologies
• Design and manage VNets, subnets, NSGs, NSGs, and ASGs
• Configure and troubleshoot Azure Firewall and Palo Alto Firewall
• Engineer secure connectivity between multiple Azure environments and external networks
• Support hybrid connectivity using ExpressRoute and VPNs
• Implement Zero Trust architectures and micro-segmentation
• Automate Azure network infrastructure using IaC tools
• Collaborate with cloud architects, cybersecurity engineers, and IT teams
