Job summary

DNI (Delaware Nation Industries) is seeking a Systems Security Engineer II to support the AFRL base cybersecurity team across vulnerability management, threat defense, and governance and compliance. This role identifies security vulnerabilities, monitors systems, supports compliance activities, and communicates findings to stakeholders.

The candidate will manage vulnerability scanning, SIEM correlation, policy implementation, and audit support while maintaining accurate records and coordinating

Qualifications

• Active Security clearance (Secret) required.
• Security+ or DoD 8140-aligned certification required.
• 5+ years in computer support, IT service, cybersecurity, or related field.
• Knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity practices.
• Experience with vulnerability management, threat defense, or SIEM.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support vulnerability management, including scanning, tracking, mitigation, and remediation.
• Support threat defense activities, including intrusion detection and SIEM correlation.
• Assist with governance and compliance, including policy implementation and audits.
• Document work with ticketing systems and IT asset tools; maintain records.
• Communicate findings and status to stakeholders; manage multiple priorities.
