Job summary

StratasCorp in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support the SOC, maintain security posture, and mentor junior analysts. The role focuses on threat detection, incident response, and security engineering with SIEM/IDS/IPS and related tooling. On-site work is required, and a Secret clearance is mandatory for the role.

The position offers full-time employment with a competitive benefits package and a salary range of $90,000–$95,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, CS, informatics, information systems or related field.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• 5+ years of professional cybersecurity experience in engineering, SOC, threat detection or incident response.
• DoD 8570/8140-aligned qualification at IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+).
• Ability to work on-site at the customer's Pensacola facility.

Responsibilities

• Support daily SOC operations including continuous monitoring, threat detection, and incident response.
• Investigate threats, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop, tune, and maintain SIEM rules, alerts, and dashboards.
• Coordinate with NOC and Incident teams during major security events.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to security engineering and process improvements.
