Job summary

Interclypse, Inc. seeks an experienced cybersecurity leader to guide the implementation and continuous optimization of security solutions.

You will mentor engineers and serve as a subject matter expert for security architecture, driving Zero Trust initiatives and smart automation to enhance threat detection and response capabilities. The role emphasizes leadership over complex projects, coordination across teams, and delivering resilient security services for Maryland state agency integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in cybersecurity, CS, information systems, engineering, or related field; master's preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in systems or network engineering.
• 5+ years supervising system engineers and security engineering projects; lead technical responses to incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for implementing and optimizing cybersecurity solutions and services.
• Mentor junior engineers and act as SME for security engineering and architecture.
• Drive Zero Trust architecture operationalization and AI/automation integration for threat detection and response.

Interclypse is supporting several Maryland state agencies in the modernization and sustainment of critical systems. All positions are required to be on-site at various locations in Maryland.

Position Summary

Provides technical leadership for the implementation and continuous optimization of cybersecurity solutions and services. Leads complex projects, mentors junior engineers, and serves as a subject matter expert for security engineering and architecture services. Drives the operationalization of Zero Trust architectures and the integration of AI and automation to enhance threat detection and response capabilities.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline. A Master's degree is preferred.

General Experience: At least eight (8) years of experience in systems or network engineering.

Specialized Experience

• At least five (5) years of experience in the supervision of system engineers and management of security engineering projects.
• Must have demonstrated expertise with enterprise-scale security solutions and experience leading the technical response during major cybersecurity incidents.
