Independent Living Systems is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer in Miami, FL to design, implement, and maintain security measures protecting networks, applications, and infrastructure.

You will monitor for vulnerabilities, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and availability of digital assets. This role emphasizes proactive threat detection and incident response.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or related field.
• 5+ years of work experience in Cyber Security duties such as incident detection, response and forensics.
• Strong understanding of networks, firewalls, VPNs and security technologies.
• Experience with security monitoring tools and incident response processes.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or GDPR.
• Must have at least one Professional Cybersecurity Certification such as CISSP, CISM, CASP or CEH.
• Relevant experience may substitute for degree on a year-for-year basis.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, configure, and maintain security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests.
• Monitor network traffic and security alerts to detect and respond to breaches.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into system architecture and SDLC.
• Contribute to security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
• Stay current with evolving cybersecurity threats, technologies, and regulatory changes.
