Job summary

BCI in Miami, FL seeks a hands-on Cyber Security Engineer to join the Information Security team. You will protect digital assets and customer data, lead patching, threat detection, and security platform engineering in line with the NIST CSF and banking regulations.

You will collaborate with IT, Compliance, and security teams to harden the environment, perform active threat hunting, and drive audit-ready security controls across endpoints and cloud.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or MIS.
• 3–5 years hands-on SecOps, security engineering, or system defense.
• Experience in heavily regulated sectors with banking/compliance familiarity.
• Certifications: CISSP, CISA, OSCP, CHFI, or CISM; other cloud security certs are a plus.
• Scripting ability in Python, Bash, or PowerShell; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead patching across endpoints, servers, and devices for proactive remediation.
• Conduct vulnerability scans and drive remediation with IT teams.
• Oversee EDR tools, AV, DLP, and security platform configuration.
• Monitor logs for threats including AI-driven activity and respond to incidents.
• Collaborate with IT, Compliance, and security teams; support audits.
