The role focuses on reducing IT security risk and responding to incidents for the company and its affiliates, with in-person, full‑time hours from mid-May to mid-August.

Candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in IT Security or related field, with at least two years of coursework completed, and should demonstrate initiative, the ability to learn security

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in IT Security or related field with at least two years of coursework completed.
• Demonstrates initiative and motivation.
• Ability to learn security engineering, server/network/cloud security, authentication methods, encryption, and application security.
• Ability to document concepts clearly and participate in meetings.
• Ability to effectively share cybersecurity threats and context with team.

Responsibilities

• Enforce corporate IT security policies and regulatory requirements; uphold confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our infrastructure.
• Escalate incidents and alerts to vendors, team members, leadership, or other internal teams as needed.
• Administer, upgrade, and troubleshoot at least one security product/application.
• Provide status updates to leadership or other team members.
• Research, develop, maintain, and support security tools and mitigation policies.
• Investigate security incidents and assist with other duties as assigned.
