Engineering Services Network - ESN seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer II to support a NIWC, Atlantic contract, with on-site duties in Chesapeake, VA. The role focuses on implementing and maintaining cyber defenses, assessing vulnerabilities, and sustaining secure IT operations in a naval environment.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a cybersecurity-related field and at least 3 years of cybersecurity policy/IA experience, IAM/IAT/IASAE Level I certs, and an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or math with CS concentration.
• Three years of experience in cybersecurity policy, assessment and authorization requirements.
• DoD 8570.1M IAM/IAT/IASAE Level I (position-based) certification may be required.

Responsabilités

• Plan, implement, upgrade, and monitor cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense.
• Assess vulnerabilities and propose remediation or risk mitigation actions.
• Ensure security controls protect digital files and infrastructure.
• Respond to computer security breaches and report as required.
• Work schedule is Monday–Friday with some weekend support.
• May be assigned other duties or hours to meet contractual obligations.
