Job summary

Space Coast Credit Union (SCCU) seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer I to safeguard digital assets, customer data, and internal systems. You will monitor, detect, and respond to threats across SIEM, EDR, DLP, and network controls, while coordinating patches and remediation across endpoints and servers.

With 3–5 years in cybersecurity and a related bachelor’s degree, you will contribute to security policy, regulatory compliance (NCUA, PCI-DSS), and staff training to strengthen SCCU’s security posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; relevant certifications may substitute for degree.
• 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems for suspicious activities and anomalies.
• Respond to security incidents and coordinate remediation efforts.
• Identify, analyze, and respond to security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Perform threat hunting and advanced detection activities to protect systems and data.
• Lead the planning, testing, and scheduling of system patches across all endpoints, mobile devices, servers, and network infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain a patch management schedule and ensure timely security patches and updates.
• Coordinate with various teams to minimize disruption and ensure compatibility of patches.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing; identify and remediate risks.
• Design, implement, and manage security solutions (firewalls, encryption, access control, data protection).
• Ensure compliance with regulations (NCUA, PCI-DSS) and assist in audits.
