Job summary

Space Coast Credit Union (SCCU) is seeking a Manager of Network Engineering to lead IT network operations and strategy. You will ensure secure, reliable, and highly available network infrastructure and services across the organization while enabling business continuity and excellent end-user experience.

The role requires 8–10 years in network engineering with 3–5 years in management, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and a track record of guiding LAN/WAN, firewall, VPN, and cloud connectivity

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other relevant degree or equivalent experience is required.
• 8-10 years of Network Engineering experience, including 3-5 years of Management experience in a technical role required.
• Experience designing and managing LAN, WAN, firewall, VPN, cloud connectivity, and network services.
• Ability to provide after-hours support for network maintenance, upgrades, patching, incident response, outage resolution, and change implementation.

Responsibilities

• Manage network operations, engineering strategy, and service reliability in a 24x7 operating environment.
• Plan, coordinate, direct, and design operational activities of the IT Network Engineering team across LAN, WAN, wireless, firewall, VPN, cloud connectivity, and network services.
• Develop and maintain industry best practices to secure network infrastructure and remote access capabilities.
• Oversee network architecture and designs for high availability, performance, redundancy, and security.
• Collaborate with IT leadership, security, infrastructure, application, and business stakeholders to implement cost-effective network solutions.
• Serve as primary liaison between IT Network Engineering and other technology teams.
• Manage deliverables to meet deadlines, specifications, and budgets.
• Manage relationships with telecom carriers, internet service providers, vendors, and MSPs.
