Job summary

Aalo Atomics in Austin, TX is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to implement and improve controls across systems, networks, cloud environments, and data. You will work with IT and engineering teams to identify risks, deploy safeguards, and maintain security documentation.

Reporting to the Director of Information Security, you will support governance, risk, and compliance activities, align controls with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls, and help scale security as we grow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, IT, CS, or equivalent with 3+ years in cybersecurity.
• Experience with NIST CSF, SP 800-53, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, or CMMC.
• Ability to investigate security events, assess risk, and support incident response.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to work on-site in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, and monitor cybersecurity controls across endpoints, networks, and cloud.
• Monitor security events, support incident response, and perform post-incident analysis.
• Coordinate vulnerability remediation with teams and third-party providers.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and documentation.
• Support risk assessments, audits, and regulatory/commercial compliance activities.
• Maintain security architecture diagrams and incident response playbooks.
