ComTec Solutions is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to serve as a security SME and support cybersecurity services and CMMC engagements. This role advises stakeholders on security policies, standards, and architecture, helping ensure security is embedded from initiation through design.

It combines security architecture, risk assessment, client communication, and hands‑on technical problem‑solving with ~80% billable hours.

Formación

• Minimum five years in information technology with two years in cybersecurity and one year supporting CMMC compliance.
• CCP certification required; other certifications such as CISSP/CISM/CISA/ISSAP are a plus.
• Familiarity with NIST SP 800-171 and/or NIST SP 800-53 and vulnerability management is important.

Responsabilidades

• Engage with project teams during initiation and design to identify risks and security controls.
• Review and design security plans for complex applications and technologies.
• Translate requirements into security controls aligned with regulatory standards (NIST 800-171 / CMMC).
• Monitor tickets, provide escalation when needed, and document resolutions.
• Develop tasks and milestones, follow change-control processes, and maintain timesheets.
