Job summary

MetTel is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Corporate IT Team in NYC or Holmdel, NJ. You will architect and operate enterprise-grade security platforms, both on-prem and in the cloud, and actively participate in threat detection, incident response, and red team opportunities as needed.

You’ll work primarily on blue team defense, with responsibilities spanning dashboards, detection logic, SIEM, and SOAR playbooks, while also contributing to compliance efforts (SOC 2, PCI DSS, NIST

Qualifications

• 4+ years securing enterprise environments with hands-on build and run experience.
• Strong knowledge of at least two core platforms: CyberArk, Splunk ES, Tenable, or SOAR.
• Solid Linux and Windows administration; scripting for automation.
• Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS/Azure) desired.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement enterprise security platforms on-prem and in the cloud.
• Design for scale with RBAC and AD integration.
• Operate the built stack with dashboards and automated playbooks.
• Own incident response and threat hunting using your tools.
• Support compliance (SOC 2, PCI DSS, NIST 800-53) with audit trails and reporting.
