Job summary

MetTel is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to design and operate enterprise security platforms in NYC/NJ. You will architect and deploy on-prem and cloud security solutions, then run and tune them in production, including dashboards, detections, and SOAR playbooks.

This is a hands-on role with both engineering and security operations responsibilities. You will own incident response and threat hunting, support compliance efforts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to protect digital

Qualifications

• 4+ years securing enterprise environments, hands-on with security platforms
• Proficient with at least two major platforms (CyberArk, Splunk, Tenable, SOAR)
• Strong Linux and Windows administration; scripting in Python/Bash/PowerShell

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement on-prem and cloud security platforms
• Design for scale including IAM, AD integration, and HA/DR
• Operate dashboards, detection logic, and automated playbooks
• Own incident response and threat hunting with the built tools
• Support audit trails and reporting for SOC 2, PCI DSS, NIST 800-53
