Job summary

Yoh Services LLC in Plano, TX is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer with cryptography expertise to design and implement secure cloud solutions for financial data and regulatory compliance. This contractor role focuses on cryptographic governance, key management, and secure service integration.

You will work with AWS/Azure/GCP, HSMs, certificate lifecycle, and secrets management, mentoring peers and contributing to code reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of cybersecurity experience.
• Minimum 2 years of cryptography experience.
• Minimum 2 years of cloud-native technology experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• 2+ years of Unix/Linux systems administration.
• 2+ years of experience with HSMs (Futurex/Thales).
• 2+ years with certificate lifecycle management platforms.
• 2+ years with Vault or similar secrets-management solutions.
• 2+ years of Python/SQL/Java/JavaScript/Go/Bash/PowerShell/Perl/Ruby.
• 2+ years of experience with security tools (SIEM/IDS/ vulnerability scanners).
• 2+ years in Agile development environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead cryptography and cloud security projects across cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineers to deliver secure cloud solutions.
• Assess data confidentiality and integrity risks, including cryptographic threats.
• Design and implement encryption, hashing, and digital-signature solutions.
• Manage encryption keys securely and integrate cryptographic services into apps.
• Support HSMs, certificate-management platforms, and secrets-management tools.
• Develop and mature cryptographic governance policies, standards, and controls.
• Promote compliance and auditability of cryptographic standards across teams.
• Stay current with cybersecurity, cryptography, and cloud tech trends.
• Mentor engineers and participate in code reviews as needed.

Cloud Security Engineer – Cryptography

18 month contract

Plano, TX (Onsite)

Seeking a Cloud Security Engineer with strong experience in cryptography, cloud-native technologies, certificate lifecycle management, secrets management, and cybersecurity engineering. This individual will help design and implement secure solutions that protect sensitive financial data, support regulatory requirements, and strengthen enterprise cryptographic governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to technology projects involving cryptography, distributed microservices, cloud platforms, and full-stack systems.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity Product Managers, architects, developers, and other engineering teams to deliver secure cloud-based solutions.
• Assess security risks related to data confidentiality and integrity, including vulnerabilities and cryptographic threats.
• Design and implement encryption, hashing, and digital-signature solutions to protect sensitive information.
• Select appropriate cryptographic algorithms and primitives, manage encryption keys securely, and integrate cryptographic services into enterprise applications.
• Support and administer hardware security modules, certificate-management platforms, and enterprise secrets-management solutions.
• Develop, mature, and maintain the organization’s cryptographic governance framework, including policies, standards, procedures, and controls.
• Promote consistency, compliance, auditability, and effective implementation of cryptographic standards across internal and external teams.
• Stay current with emerging cybersecurity, cryptography, and cloud technologies.
• Participate in technical communities, mentor other engineers, and contribute to code reviews or hands-on development as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• At least 4 years of cybersecurity experience.
• At least 2 years of cryptography experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with cloud-native technologies, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• At least 2 years of Unix or Linux systems administration experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with Futurex and Thales HSMs.
• At least 2 years of experience with Venafi, DigiCert, or other certificate lifecycle management platforms.
• At least 2 years of experience with HashiCorp Vault or comparable secrets-management solutions.
• At least 1 year of experience with the Cortex XSOAR platform.
• 2+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience.
• 2+ years of coding or scripting experience using Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Go, Bash, PowerShell, Perl, or Ruby.
• 2+ years of experience with security tools and frameworks, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.
• 2+ years of experience working in Agile development environments.
