Job summary

Nashville Public Radio is seeking a Communications Specialist to craft clear, accessible materials about cybersecurity and resilience for SLTT audiences in the Arlington area. You will translate technical details for lay audiences and support campaigns with reusable templates and multimedia content.

The role emphasizes collaboration with government reviewers, stakeholder coordination, and producing accessible content with Section 508 considerations.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant communications, public relations, content development, or public outreach experience.
• Experience explaining technical topics to public-sector audiences.
• DHS Trusted Tester certification for accessibility testing if assigned.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit fact sheets, articles, presentations, invitations, social media content, and other outreach materials for SLTT audiences.
• Develop reusable toolkit templates, graphics, and short video content that partners can adapt to support awareness and training.
• Translate research findings and technical information into accurate, accessible language for nontechnical audiences.
• Support event communications and Resilience Challenge storytelling, coordinating stakeholder clearance and Government review before release.
• Prepare accessible electronic content and coordinate Section 508 testing, corrections, and documentation.
