Nashville Public Radio is seeking a Communications Specialist to craft clear, accessible materials about cybersecurity and resilience for SLTT audiences in the Arlington area. You will translate technical details for lay audiences and support campaigns with reusable templates and multimedia content.

Develop clear, useful communications that help SLTT audiences understand cybersecurity and physical security risks and take practical action. You will support CISA-branded outreach, reusable training materials, and campaigns that share successful resilience practices.
* Write and edit fact sheets, articles, presentations, invitations, social media content, and other outreach materials for SLTT audiences.
Years of experience: Preferred: 3-5 years of relevant communications, public relations, content development, or public outreach experience. Experience explaining technical topics to public-sector audiences is preferred. Education: Preferred: Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, English, marketing, or a related field. Certifications: No blanket professional certification requirement applies to this role. If assigned to perform covered web accessibility testing, DHS Trusted Tester certification for version 5.0 or a successor version is required. This testing requirement excludes Microsoft Office and PDF documents and non-fillable forms, which use separate document test methods. Skills: Strong writing, editing, visual storytelling, and stakeholder coordination skills; ability to create accessible documents and presentations and support multimedia content.
Work is primarily based in Arlington. Situational telework requires Government approval and must occur within the continental United States unless otherwise authorized. Travel is required. Work generally occurs Monday through Friday within 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Eastern Time, with occasional work outside normal hours to meet mission needs.
