Job summary

Clover Park Technical College seeks an industry-engaged faculty member to serve as the primary instructor and academic anchor for the Bachelor of Applied Science in Cybersecurity program. The incumbent will teach governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) and defensive security, including foundational offensive security concepts, while mentoring students in professional development and career readiness.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in governance, risk and compliance (GRC) and/or defensive security operations.
• Experience delivering instruction in hybrid or online learning environments.
• Cloud security experience (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Experience mentoring diverse learners in academic, professional, or workplace settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and skills development to prepare students for employment in cybersecurity and related technology fields.
• Deliver instruction across GRC, offensive security, and defensive security using applied, project-based learning.
• Design and continuously improve curriculum to align with industry standards and trends.
• Mentor students in professional development, career readiness, and ethical practice.

Education

Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field

Three (3) or more years of recent hands-on experience in GRC/defensive security

Ability to develop and deliver instruction in a hybrid/online environment

Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP)

Experience mentoring diverse learners
