Job summary

Workday in Reston, VA is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to own agent, eval, and application work within SecAIE. You’ll build eval harnesses, agent scaffolds, schemas, and UIs on security data to speed detection, response, and threat intel workflows.

You’ll partner with security domain experts to create reliable, measurable tools and champion reusable components, AI-assisted development, and robust runbooks.

Qualifications

• Strong Python skills with production software experience.
• Experience building or evaluating LLM/agent systems (harnesses, eval, tracing).
• Ability to design or evolve schemas and data contracts.
• Comfort with security data concepts and AI-augmented development.

Responsibilities

• Own agent-adjacent application work including eval harnesses and UIs.
• Design and evolve schemas so humans and agents share objects.
• Scope and ship partner requests from vague to shipped with design and rollout.
• Build and maintain integrations across security tools and platforms.
• Raise AI-enabled engineering practices and reusable scaffolds.
• Prototype, test, ship, learn, and improve with the team.
