Job summary

Crowe is seeking a Cybersecurity Manager to help financial institutions, fintechs, payments providers, and other financial‑services clients manage cybersecurity risk in a rapidly evolving technology and regulatory environment.

The successful candidate will bring a strong foundation in financial‑services cybersecurity or IT risk, with exposure to digital assets, blockchain, and Banking‑as‑a‑Service, translating complex risks into practical recommendations for clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cybersecurity, technology risk, IT audit, security consulting.
• Experience in financial‑services industry (banking, fintech, payments, etc.).
• Broad exposure to emerging financial technologies such as digital assets, blockchain, stablecoins, tokenization, digital‑asset custody, embedded finance, or Banking‑as‑a‑Service.
• Ability to identify and explain cybersecurity, third‑party risk, data protection, compliance and operational resilience implications of emerging technologies.
• Strong knowledge of governance and controls, including IAM, data protection, cloud and application security, third‑party risk, incident response, and business continuity.
• Demonstrated ability to learn unfamiliar technologies and business processes, identify risks, and apply control principles.
• Experience managing cybersecurity or technology‑risk engagements from planning through reporting.
• Strong written, verbal, project management, and client‑relationship skills.
• Bachelor’s level education or equivalent.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity, technology‑risk, and operational‑resilience engagements for banks, fintechs, payments providers, and emerging products.
• Evaluate cybersecurity implications of evolving technologies and business models including digital assets, blockchain, stablecoins, tokenized assets, custody, embedded finance, and Banking‑as‑a‑Service.
• Assess risks around digital‑asset custody, key management, wallet infrastructure, smart contracts, APIs, cloud, and third‑party integrations.
• Help clients translate cybersecurity principles to new products, technologies, partnerships, and delivery models.
• Evaluate governance, control design, third‑party risk, incident response, and business continuity across ecosystems.
• Advise clients on relationships among banks, fintechs, program managers, technology providers, custodians, and other third parties.
• Assess programs against regulatory expectations and frameworks (FFIEC, GLBA, NYDFS, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, etc.).
• Communicate emerging risks and business implications to executives and technical teams.
• Manage engagements from planning through reporting, including scope, team oversight, client communication, timelines and budgets.
• Mentor junior professionals and contribute to Crowe’s cybersecurity capabilities.
