Job summary

Crowe is seeking a Cybersecurity Manager to help financial institutions manage cybersecurity risk in a rapidly evolving environment. You will lead engagements, translate complex risks into practical recommendations, and grow client relationships across a range of fintech and banking clients.

The role emphasizes governance, incident response, and regulatory alignment with frameworks such as FFIEC, NYDFS, and NIST CSF, while advancing Crowe's cybersecurity capabilities.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of professional experience in cybersecurity, technology risk, IT audit, security consulting, or a related field.
• Experience working in or serving the financial-services industry (banking, fintech, payments, asset management, insurance, or related).
• Broad exposure to emerging financial technologies and business models (digital assets, crypto, embedded finance, Banking-as-a-Service).
• Ability to explain cybersecurity, third-party risk, data-protection and resilience implications of new tech.
• Strong knowledge of governance and controls (identity, data protection, cloud, third-party risk, incident response, business continuity).
• Demonstrated ability to learn unfamiliar technologies and apply risk principles.
• Experience managing cybersecurity or technology-risk engagements from planning through reporting.
• Strong written, verbal, project-management, and client-relationship skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• One or more professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity, technology-risk, and operational-resilience engagements for banks, fintechs, and payment providers.
• Evaluate cybersecurity implications of evolving technologies and business models (digital assets, blockchain, stablecoins).
• Assess risks in areas like digital-asset custody, key management, wallet infrastructure, smart contracts, APIs, and cloud.
• Help clients apply established cybersecurity principles to new products, technologies, and delivery models.
• Evaluate governance, third-party risk, incident response, business continuity across financial ecosystems.
• Advise on relationships among banks, fintechs, program managers, technology providers, and custodians.
• Assess programs against FFIEC, GLBA, NYDFS, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and related guidance.
• Communicate emerging risks and business implications to executives, risk committees, and technical teams.
• Manage engagements from planning to reporting, including scope, teams, timelines, and budgets.
• Mentor junior professionals and contribute to Crowe's cybersecurity capabilities.
