Job summary

Avalore.ai is seeking a Data Architect to design and govern the entire data ecosystem for the War Data Platform. You will establish enterprise data models, standards for storage, and pipelines for ingestion and processing, ensuring data is findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable.

You will collaborate with GRC and security teams to bake governance and protection into the architecture, enabling scalable analytics and AI/ML capabilities.

Job description

The Data Architect is responsible for designing and governing the entire data ecosystem of the War Data Platform. This person will establish the enterprise data model, define standards for data storage (e.g., data lakes, warehouses, databases), and design the architecture for data ingestion, processing pipelines (ETL/ELT), and data access. They will work closely with the GRC and security teams to ensure data governance, data quality, and data protection policies are designed into the architecture from the start. The Data Architect's primary goal is to ensure that data on the WDP is findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable (FAIR), enabling advanced analytics and AI/ML at scale.

Requirements

• SECRET Security Clearance Required
• Cloud+,GSEC,Security+, or SSCP cerification (for Junior / Journeyman roles)
• SecurityX/CASP+,CCNP Security,CISA,CCSP, or CISSP certification (for Senior role)
• We are actively seeking multiple levels:
• Junior: 0 - 3 years of experience + Bachelor's Degree
• Journeyman: 4 - 7 years of experience + Bachelor's Degree
• Senior: 8+ years of experience + Bachelor's Degree
• Good communication skills, self-starter mindset
• Professional proficiency in English is required
• Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications

Work Environment

• Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
• Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
