Job description

Job Summary: Accountable for the implementation of cybersecurity strategy under the direction of leadership. Proactively analyzes and anticipates changes in the cyber-threat landscape and actively participates in designing effective countermeasures. Participates on cross-functional, multi-departmental teams to implement security-in-design solutions that effectively prevent, detect, and respond to threats in Geisinger's computing environment. Performs risk assessment and management activities related to technology, processes, and applications.

Job Duties

• Serves as a direct contact and subject matter expert for highly technical and complex cybersecurity inquiries related to their specialized areas.
• Assists the Cybersecurity Architect in developing specialized design and architecture for Geisinger's Cybersecurity Program, including roadmaps, technical direction, and control alignment to protect and enable the business.
• Implements and tracks measures and metrics to ensure the efficiency and return on investment of solutions in their area of expertise.
• Leads the implementation of a sustainable process to monitor cyber-threat intelligence from various sources, integrating findings into current and future security designs through continuous improvement.
• Develops and leads cybersecurity projects to implement, extend, or improve security services.
• Completes complex assignments on schedule with minimal supervision.
• Evaluates and assesses current processes and capabilities, executing continuous improvement activities organization-wide.
• Provides feedback and involvement in the ongoing implementation and maintenance of the ISO's Cybersecurity Strategic Plan, monitoring security event data to identify threats and unauthorized activities.
• Gathers, monitors, analyzes, and reports on cyber-threat activity from various sources.
• Guides associate-level personnel in identifying and reporting threats and vulnerabilities.
• Participates in the Security Incident Response Team to identify and remediate security incidents.
• Performs forensic analysis and evidence collection in accordance with industry and legal standards for investigations and assessments.
• Conducts risk assessments on technology, processes, and applications, communicating risks to stakeholders.
• Authors organizational policies, standards, and procedures related to cybersecurity.
