Job description

Job Summary

Accountable for the implementation of cybersecurity strategy under the direction of leadership. Proactively analyzes and anticipates changes in the cyber-threat landscape and actively participates in designing effective countermeasures. Participates on cross-functional, multi-departmental teams to implement security-in-design solutions that effectively prevent, detect, and respond to threats in Geisinger's computing environment. Performs risk assessment and management activities regarding technology, processes, and applications.

Job Duties

  1. Serves as a direct contact and subject matter expert for highly technical and complex cybersecurity inquiries related to their specialized areas.
  2. Assists the Cybersecurity Architect in developing specialized design and architecture for Geisinger's Cybersecurity Program, including roadmaps, technical direction, and control alignment to protect and enable the business.
  3. Implements and tracks measures and metrics to ensure the efficiency of solutions and return on investment in the assigned area of specialty.
  4. Leads the implementation of a sustainable process to monitor cyber-threat intelligence from various sources and integrates this into current and future security designs through continuous improvement.
  5. Develops and leads cybersecurity projects to implement or improve security services.
  6. Completes complex assignments on schedule with minimal supervision.
  7. Evaluates and assesses current processes and executes continuous improvement activities organization-wide.
  8. Provides feedback and involvement in the implementation and maintenance of the ISO's Cybersecurity Strategic Plan, monitoring security event data to identify threats and unauthorized activity.
  9. Gathers, monitors, analyzes, and reports cyber-threat activity from various sources.
  10. Guides associate-level personnel in identifying and reporting threats and vulnerabilities.
  11. Participates in the Security Incident Response Team to identify and remediate incidents.
  12. Performs forensic analysis and evidence collection in accordance with industry and legal standards.
  13. Conducts risk assessments on technology, processes, and applications, communicating risks to stakeholders.
  14. Authors organizational policies, standards, and procedures related to cybersecurity.
