Visual Soft, Inc is seeking qualified candidates (US Citizens with activeACTIVE TOP SECRET clearance - a requirement onits sub contract on a Project with a Major Prime) for the following position for a federal agency.

Job Title: Cybersecurity Analyst - Mid Level - ONSITE - an Active Top SECRET required

Compensation: Negotiable with standard benefits based on experience, education, degree and certifications and can also work with candidates who prefer 1099 on a case by case basis

Location: Huntsville, AL (on a federal agency project), fullyONSITE

Shift Timings: Wed-Sat 12:00 PM-10:00 PM (basically Wed thru Sat, afternoon to night, 10 hours a day, may need to ADD additional 30 minutes of personal time for break)

Required Qualifications:

• A total of 5 years of professional experience
• Splunk Enterprise Security

Job Description:

• Responsible for monitoring computer networks for security issues.
• Investigating security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
• Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause.
• Work with the security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities, such as penetration testing.
• Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.
• Recommend best practices for IT security.
• Installing security measures and operating software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs.
• Must be capable of conducting analysis, confirming intrusion information and creating a forensically sound duplicate of the files.
• Decrypts data and provides technical summaries and input.
• Examines recovered data for relevant information and performs dynamic analysis to include timeline, statistical, and file signature analysis.
• Performs real-time cyber defense handling tasks to support deployable Incident Response Teams (IRTs).

Standard benefits:

• 3 weeks of Paid time off (PTO that includes sick leave). Any unused PTO will be issued as a check at the end of an employee's anniversary with us.

• All full time employees will be eligible to participate in company's 401k program after 90 days of employment with a company match of 4%, immediate vesting.
