Job summary

ABACUS is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join its IT Security team in the United States. You will triage alerts, handle incidents, and collaborate with Security, Engineering and Service teams to improve detection and response across platforms.

The role requires 2–3 years in a security operations or technical security role, a MIS/CS background, and relevant certifications are a plus. Expect involvement in security projects and occasional night/weekend work.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years experience in security operations or related roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in MIS/Computer Science or similar.
• Security certifications such as CySA or Security+ are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interact with Security, Engineering and Service teams and respond to escalated issues.
• Respond to escalations from MDR provider and improve detection and response capabilities.
• Communicate technical concepts to management, peers, and clients.
• Maintain awareness of security issues in emerging technologies.
• Scope, implement and support new security projects/initiatives.
• Own follow-up and resolution of pending issues.
