Job summary

Spectrum Control is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst II/ISSO to protect enterprise systems, networks, and data. You will monitor, investigate, and remediate threats while owning key security documentation, playbooks, and awareness training.

The role emphasizes collaboration with IT and business owners, and mentorship of junior staff. The position is on-site in Marlborough, MA with a 4-day work week option in many departments and benefits beginning day 1.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2–5 years of hands-on security operations, vulnerability management, or IT infrastructure.
Working knowledge of SIEM platforms, EDR tooling, and vulnerability scanners.
Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, firewalls, VPN, and proxy concepts.
Familiarity with Windows and Linux administration and Active Directory / Entra ID
Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework and common attack techniques.
Demonstrated strong technical writing ability — able to produce clear playbooks and end-user content.
Must be able to obtain SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

Monitor and triage security alerts from SIEM, EDR, email, and network tooling.
Develop and maintain incident response playbooks for phishing, ransomware, data exfiltration, and insider risk.
Lead vulnerability management efforts across servers, endpoints, and cloud workloads.
Support RMF implementation, system security plans, baselines, and configuration diagrams.
Maintain the security knowledgebase and publish threat-focused guidance and tabletop exercise materials.
Deliver enterprise security awareness training and phishing simulations.
