Job summary

V2X is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst II to join the AFCENT NOSC IT team. The role focuses on IDS analysis, vulnerability assessments, and developing methods to detect and prevent intrusions. On-call may be required, with potential OCONUS/CONUS TDY assignments.

The ideal candidate has mid-level IDS experience, firewall knowledge, and familiarity with Windows Server environments, DNS, DHCP, and security tooling. Competitive benefits and travel support are provided.

Qualifications

• Secret clearance required.
• Experience with IDS/IPS, firewall management and monitoring.
• Windows Server deployment and server image management.
• Experience with DNS/DHCP, storage, high availability, and remote access solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze network intrusion detection systems and perform vulnerability assessments.
• Develop countermeasures to isolate and contain intrusions.
• Install, configure, and manage security devices (IDS/IPS, ESS/HBSS, forensic tools).
• Analyze firewall and DNS/proxy logs and monitor security events.
• Write scripts to automate Cybersecurity tasks and support IT operations.
