Job summary

RealmOne in Columbia, MD is seeking a Cyber Defense Analyst 2 to monitor networks, detect anomalous activity, triage events, and report findings to protect data, systems, and infrastructure. This role requires DoD 8570 CSSP Analyst baseline, IAT Level I or II, CE certifications, Splunk training, and hands-on experience with TCP/IP, tcpdump or Wireshark, SIEM, and cloud environments such as Azure/AWS.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years CDA experience or equivalent.
• One (1) year TCP/IP fundamentals.
• One (1) year tcpdump or Wireshark usage.
• Two (2) years SIEM experience with major platforms.
• Two (2) years network analysis and threat analysis software use.
• Two (2) years managing Cloud environments (Azure/AWS).

Responsibilities

• Monitor network activity and analyze for anomalous behavior.
• Triage and report events to protect data, systems, and infrastructure.
• Conduct PCAP analysis to identify indicators of compromise.
• Identify attack phases and intrusion techniques based on common vectors.
• Perform event correlation to gain situational awareness.
