Job summary

Angel of the Winds Casino Resort in Arlington, WA is seeking a security professional to monitor networks, respond to incidents, and maintain security tools to protect guests and operations. The candidate should have a degree or 2+ years in a security role, with scripting and security tooling experience, plus strong analytical and guest service skills.

Qualifications

• College degree or 2+ years of equivalent work experience in a security role.
• Familiarity with scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
• Hands-on experience with common security tools for monitoring security logs and alerts.
• Understanding of the OSI network model and familiarity with network analyzer tools.
• Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a challenging environment dealing with sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality.
• Exceptional guest service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor networks and systems for potential security threats and anomalies.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, escalating when necessary.
• Document any security related issues/incidents and assess impact with management.
• Maintain and tune security tools such as EDR, DLP, VPNs, firewalls, and cloud-native controls including conditional access and single sign-on.
• Ensure security compliance across multiple device platforms, including Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, Linux.
• Ensure systems and processes align with security frameworks, including NIST and CIS.
• Collaborate with system and application teams to prioritize security updates and patching.
• Operate and utilize security-related systems, including SIEM, vulnerability and compliance assessment tools.
• Work with various teams to identify and uncover infrastructure vulnerabilities and threats.
• Stay current with risk intelligence to understand emerging cyber threats and remain updated on the latest security trends and dangers to protect the organization proactively.
• Prioritize work to resolve escalated support tickets and technical emergencies.
• Help train team members in IT security awareness and risk management.
• Oversight of system hardening and standardization in alignment with NIST/CIS standards.
• Support of a 24/7 business operation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class A/3 gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency and Washington State.
• One or more security certifications such as Security+ or CySA+ are preferred.
• One or more network certifications such as Network+ or CCNA are preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. The position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and;/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires repetitive movement daily with sendentary work, occasional bending and crouching. This is a 24-hour, 7 day-a-week work operation. There are no adverse conditions, but employee may be exposed to tobacco smoke.
