Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Cybersecurity AI/ML Lead - Data Scientist to advance analytic and machine learning solutions addressing complex cybersecurity and technology risk challenges. You will design auditable, scalable data-driven solutions and contribute as a core technical member of the Cyber Operations teams.

You will apply probabilistic and deep learning methods, build model-ready datasets, and communicate results to technical and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with formal training or certification in security engineering concepts
• Knowledge of probability, statistics, distributions and their use in cybersecurity or tech risk
• Advanced Python skills and data visualization tools
• Experience leading teams using enterprise-approved AI capabilities
• Ability to review AI-assisted security recommendations before adoption
• Experience using notebooks to analyze data and communicate results
• Knowledge of SDLC, CI/CD, resiliency and secure software delivery
• Knowledge of financial services IT systems

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to understand security needs and acquire data
• Perform exploratory data analysis on security datasets and communicate findings
• Develop and evaluate ML models for cybersecurity use cases and business outcomes
• Prepare model-ready datasets through feature engineering and data quality assessment
• Lead adoption of enterprise AI capabilities with human-in-the-loop validation
• Establish guardrails for AI workflows with traceability and security standards
• Support model governance by documenting selection, interpretability, and performance
• Design, build, review, and maintain secure production code for ML solutions
• Contribute to security control effectiveness through industry insights and standards
• Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect within the team
