Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Cybersecurity AI/ML Lead – Data Scientist to advance data-driven security analytics and scalable ML solutions within Cybersecurity & Technology Controls.

The role focuses on statistical modeling, deep learning, and responsible AI governance for secure, auditable outcomes. You will partner with cybersecurity engineers, data engineers, and stakeholders to deliver models and data platforms that improve threat detection and risk management while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with formal training or certification in security engineering concepts.
• Strong foundation in probability, statistics, and their cybersecurity applications.
• Experience preparing complex datasets for modeling and feature engineering.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to understand security needs, define use cases, and acquire data.
• Perform exploratory data analysis on security datasets and communicate findings.
• Develop and evaluate ML/DL models appropriate for cybersecurity use cases.
• Prepare model-ready datasets through feature engineering and data quality assessment.
• Lead reuse-first adoption of enterprise AI with human-in-the-loop validation and data sensitivity handling.
• Establish guardrails for AI workflows including traceability and security standards.
• Support model governance by documenting selection, interpretability, performance and limitations.
• Design, build, review, and maintain secure production code for analytics.
• Contribute to security process improvements through industry insights and standards.
• Foster a diverse, equitable, and respectful team culture.
