Job summary

Gwinnett Technical College is seeking an Adjunct Faculty – Cybersecurity to deliver lecture and lab material, develop lesson plans, and assess student progress in Computer Sciences courses. This is a part-time, non-benefited, FLSA Exempt/Professional position within the Cyber Security program.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the field (or advanced graduate coursework) plus two years of relevant experience; CISSP or Security+ is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in the field and at least 18 sem/30 qtr hours at the graduate level in the specified field OR a Master’s degree in a related field.
• Two years of relevant work experience required.
• CISSP and/or Security+ certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and delivers lecture and/or lab course material.
• Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for general core courses.
• Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives.
• Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports.
• Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training area.
• Assists with recruitment retention and job placement efforts.
