Job summary

EduCare Foundation seeks a CyberPatriot Facilitator to implement and support the program at participating high school sites in Los Angeles. The role involves facilitating cybersecurity and coding activities, guiding students for competitions, and maintaining required documentation.

Regular travel to school sites is required, with assignments at multiple hubs. The position is part-time (about 15 hours weekly) during after-school hours, with occasional Saturday commitments.

Qualifications

• An associate degree from an accredited college or university, completion of at least two years of college, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• At least two years of experience in an after-school, youth development, educational, or similar program.
• Experience with CyberPatriot programming and lesson planning.
• Working knowledge of advanced Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, administrative, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize assignments effectively.
• Ability to travel to multiple locations throughout Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley.
• Availability to work approximately 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during after-school hours; occasional Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate cybersecurity, coding, curriculum-based activities for participating students.
• Instruct and support students as they develop technical skills for CyberPatriot and National Cyber League competitions.
• Lead icebreakers and team-building activities; engage students as needed.
• Supervise activities during competitions, field trips, and special events.
• Attend trainings, meetings, and coaching sessions; participate in weekly coordination meetings.
• Collaborate with school-site staff under the CyberPatriot Coordinator.
• Maintain accurate program documentation and records.
• Organize, transport, and maintain program materials and supplies.
• Travel to multiple Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley sites as needed.
