Ryan Specialty is seeking a Cyber Underwriter to join our growing Cyber team. This role is ideal for an underwriting professional who evaluates a high volume of opportunities, makes thoughtful risk decisions, and partners closely with brokers to deliver excellent service.

The ideal candidate has 2-5+ years of cyber liability underwriting experience, preferably within a carrier, MGA, wholesale, or specialty underwriting organization.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years of Cyber Liability underwriting experience.
• Experience within a carrier, MGA, wholesale, or specialty underwriting environment preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple submissions and competing priorities.
• Understanding of cyber coverages, data privacy, ransomware, network security.

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, and price cyber risks per guidelines and authority levels.
• Analyze submissions, loss history, financials, industry exposures, and controls.
• Assess risk characteristics and determine terms, conditions, and pricing.
• Make timely underwriting decisions while protecting profitability.
• Manage new business and renewals across industries and account sizes.
• Monitor cyber threats, market developments, and industry trends.
• Develop and maintain relationships with wholesale brokers and partners.
• Provide responsive underwriting support through submission, quote, negotiation, and binding.
• Collaborate with brokers to structure effective coverages.
• Contribute to portfolio reviews and business planning discussions.
• Partner with teams to deliver exceptional service and leverage data/analytics.
