Job summary

You will review logs, coordinate remediation with infrastructure and application teams, and document security incidents while ensuring compliance with federal guidance and standards such as OMB, Executive Orders, and NIST 800-series.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years of experience in systems security.
• Security Certifications: Security+, CEH, CISSP, other vendor certs.

Responsibilities

• Review complex data logs and trace the blast radius of threats.
• Run vulnerability scans and coordinate remediation with teams.
• Investigate suspected and confirmed security breaches and root causes.
• Explain risks and security guidelines clearly to non-technical staff and management.
• Monitor network traffic, system and audit logs for suspicious activity.
• Document security events and write incident reports.
• Support threat analysis and digital forensic activities.
• Support initiatives related to audit logging, zero trust, and encryption.
