Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst to turn threat data into actionable intelligence for GM’s cyber defenders across IT, OT, and connected-vehicle environments.

You will monitor threat activity, enrich indicators, and produce targeted intelligence products for technical and executive audiences, while collaborating with diverse teams and external partners to align with GM priorities.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in cyber threat intelligence, security operations, incident response, threat hunting, or a related cybersecurity discipline.
  • Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and Diamond Model; threat-intelligence lifecycle and indicators of compromise.
  • Ability to analyze security and threat data and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Hands-on experience with threat-intelligence and detection tooling (MISP, SIEM, EDR/NDR) and open-source research techniques.
  • Understanding of attacker techniques, malware behavior, phishing and credential-theft campaigns, CVE/CVSS concepts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce concise intelligence under deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, triage, and analyze threat activity relevant to IT, OT, and connected-vehicle environments; assess impact and priority.
  • Produce clear, actionable intelligence products and summaries for technical defenders and executive audiences.
  • Maintain and enrich indicators of compromise and threat actor profiles; operationalize them to GM sensors and detection workflows.
  • Ingest, normalize, and curate intelligence from ISACs, government, law enforcement, and commercial feeds using platforms like MISP and SIEM.
  • Provide time-sensitive intelligence support during active incidents and complete RFIs with well-reasoned assessments.
  • Partner with Cyber Defense, Product Cybersecurity, Manufacturing/OT, and Third-Party Cybersecurity to align intelligence with GM priorities.
  • Track adversary TTPs and map activity to MITRE ATT&CK to strengthen detection coverage.
  • Contribute to CTI process improvements, playbooks, and automation to raise maturity of GM’s defenses.
